Overview

Major Bill Cage is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously demoted and dropped into combat. Cage is killed within minutes, managing to take an alpha alien down with him. He awakens back at the beginning of the same day and is forced to fight and die again… and again - as physical contact with the alien has thrown him into a time loop.

Viewing Notes

This was actually much better than I thought it would be.  I figured this to be a standard Tome Cruise action flick and it most definitely wasn’t completely standard.  I did get a big kick out of all the deaths he goes through and it amused me that it was so similar to the many deaths of Dean in that one episode of Supernatural.  The effects in this are great, but more importantly it has some heart to it to go along with the effects.  It loses a point from me for following the big budget Hollywood formula a little too closely as we got to the end. I’ll definitely have to watch this one again as it was a fun ride.
