Overview
Alienated teen Pauline struggles with the pressures of fitting into high school, pleasing her mother and a burning desire to lose her virginity. With a grotesque curiosity for the darker side of life, Pauline is considered a social outcast by everyone around her. Enticed by flesh, she retreats into her own fantasies and hopes to become a great surgeon - that is, if she doesn’t go insane first.

A creepy, weird, darkly funny horror film with an interesting and disturbing take on adolescence, mental illness and moral uncertainty. Based on the 2008 short by the same director.
Tracy Lord and AnnaLynne McCord turn in two great performances as mother and daughter respectively. Add in guest performances by an odd assembly of Marlee Matlin, Malcolm McDowell, John Waters and Ray Wise and you’ve got a weird, cool movie!
