Overview

A parasitic alien soul is injected into the body of Melanie Stryder. Instead of carrying out her race’s mission of taking over the Earth, “Wanda” (as she comes to be called) forms a bond with her host and sets out to aid other free humans.

Viewing Notes

The first half of the film left me praying for death so I wouldn’t have to watch the second half, which, curiously partially redeemed itself. Still, the movie was oddly flat and the voice over thing really drove me nuts. The studio was obviously banking on Stephanie Meyer name recognition to draw people in without actually spending a lot on the budget.
