Viewing Notes

Hard to believe this came out eight years ago. It still holds up well. I think I liked it better now than I did when it came out. Some of the hoodoo mysticism is still hokey but the rest plays well. Looks and sounds awesome in the home theater!

I feel like maybe its time for the aborted TRON 3 movie now.

I was in love with this movie when it came out and it still hits all the right notes for me. When it blows up the “IMAX” view must be pretty amazing in your home theater. The mysticism stuff is silly “you’re messing w/my zen thing, man” but easily to ignore over the great visuals and score. Really crushed they didn’t make the sequel as planned.

It’s a movie made for my home theater that’s for sure! Funny that they have a warning at the start about preserving the different aspect ratios of the original IMAX and to not freak out about the black bars!
