Viewing Notes
Von Stroheim’s magnum opus, which reportedly clocked in at over nine hours before the studio cut it to a reasonable length. There are some great dolly shots in this that I haven’t really seen used in film up to this point.
This is a hard movie to come by. I watched a version on YouTube with Italian intertitles and 240px quality and no color tinting. It’d be great to see a better copy of this but there seem to only be region B DVDs available.
