Viewing Notes

I find Chaplin and Keaton’s comedies to be better overall but the last 15 minutes of GIRL SHY is pretty great and makes up for the mostly mediocre rest of the movie. It’s also pretty cool to see 1924 Los Angeles as Lloyd races through the streets in or on a succession of cars, street trolleys, motorcycles, wagons and horses. Also interesting to see Cracker Jack candy play a prominent role in the plot.
