Viewing Notes

The second film of the marathon, my choice, was this great print from 88 films of a not-so-great Tsui Hark/Jet Li film from 1992. There’s some fun stuff in this but the plot is non-sensical and all over the place with lots of bad racial stereotyping.

This was obviously meant to be a crossover film for Jet Li, much like RUMBLE IN THE BRONX was for Chan, but obviously didn’t work as well for Li as it did for Chan.
