Produced by Sam Katzman. I watched the original black and white version but they also include the colorized version on the disc. I thought I’d seen this before but nope, just clips from it.

Great stop motion animation on the giant octopus, especially when it takes down a portion of the Golden Gate Bridge and attacks the Embarkadero.
