Viewing Notes

I am still steadfastly anti-3D but if any movie deserves to be seen in 3D it’s going to be the sequel to Avatar. And so we chose the Dolby Cinema 3D showing. Not gonna lie, the 3D looks amazing in this movie.

Going to a show opening weekend is always a bad move for big tent pole films like this because all the people who never go to movies come out. I resigned myself to this and sure enough sat next to probably the worst person in the entire theater. She never stopped moving (even bugged Tonia two seats away), used her phone multiple times and in general was just a fucking cunt. Her entire family (husband and teenage daughter) left more trash then you’d see in an NYC alley on the wrong side of town. I hope Krampus pays that fucking family a visit this Christmas.

Anyway, the movie. Visually stunning and immersive, as one would expect. The story felt like more of the same though, to the point of bringing back characters who’d died before, which just felt incongruous to me.
