Viewing Notes

DVR’d this off TCM on Halloween since it was listed as The Devil’s Bride and when I started viewing today I saw in the opening credits, “based on the book The Devil Rides Out” so yeah I’ve seen this. But I watched it again since it I recall not being a big fan of the film.

And yeah still not crazy about it. Christopher Lee is great even though he’s kinda just phoning it in. Has some cool satanic imagery but the entire film feels a little flat as though horror of the cult is not very terrifying. Still a decent watch.
