Viewing Notes
After so much negative WOM I really didn’t want to miss this (or have to wait for the home video release). I gotta say that I’m totally on Team Counselor. And Team Catfish. And Team Cheetah.
I will admit that the core story is more than confusing as I’m still not exactly sure what sends everything into motion. That’s a bit fuzzy but I love the actors here and the performances. Definitely an odd movie that feels more like a collection of mini-stories loosely tied into one central crime thriller.
Maybe the theme and message is a little too on the nose but it’s a fun ride watching all these characters interact with Fassbender leading the way. The Javier Bardem and Cameron Diaz catfish moment is one for the ages.
