Viewing Notes

Possibly the one Godzilla movie in this project I really didn’t want to revisit again… mainly because I’ve seen this a few times in recent years including last year at G-Fest. Definitely the Millennium Godzilla movie that I’m most familiar with having seen it the most. That said I still quite enjoy the film mostly for its location in Tokyo and Battra-like flying monster. Also really love the horror elements and wish they had done more with that. Really dislike the main protagonists more and more. Godzilla is quite excellent in this. My favorite moment is when he bends over to use his wicked back plate to slice off one of the Megaguirus claws. Weird that after G2000 they completely reboot the series again for this film only one year later. The “Toho Science” with the Dimension Tide is also hilarious when you think about it.
