Viewing Notes

Really great to see this in a theater again thanks to CCS. Also first time at Columbia College Hokin Hall. Not a bad place to see a movie and much better than the Chicago Filmmakers screening room. The audio is a bit off and sounded weird at times but otherwise a good screening (except the two old men in the row behind me that talked almost the entire time).

Despite being tired as hell this movie did its magic to keep me awake. Actually I think I enjoyed it more on this viewing than at FF2014. For a nearly a 2 hour movie it’s paced so damn well that it just breezes by. Just so entertaining and over the top. I wish there wasn’t digital blood that looks so fake. I also wish the beatbox girl got more scenes as she’s the real star of the movie.

Still amazed that Sion Sono made this movie. I really love his range.
