Viewing Notes

Definitely haven’t seen this since the late 90s although I know I’ve seen bits of this over time. Wild to sit down with this and watch the entire thing. I can see how this may have been a big movie for teen girls at the time. Total female empowerment channeled through witchcraft, the outsiders against the popular kids.

Thought it was an okay movie back then and feel the same now. Not a great movie but fun enough to see how high school is depicted in the mid-nineties. I love the few shots around L.A. of the cinemas in the background. One has Die Hard with a Vengeance on the marquee. I don’t think that theater exists now.

At the time I thought Robin Tunney was the next big thing or they were positioning her as such. Guess that didn’t happen. Too bad.
