Viewing Notes

Movie 2

Second movie at B-Fest 2017 was this Bert I. Gordon gem featuring Basil Rathbone as the evil sorcerer. Enjoyable fantasy flick on its own made even more entertaining with B-Fest commentary. Has a chimpanzee, siamese twins, dwarves, witches and a giant werewolf. I mean, seriously.
This movie is more wild and weird than his later output (ex. Empire of the Ants, Food of the Gods, etc.) but also suffers a tad from walking the line between comedy beats and all-out fantastical horror elements. All in all this is good time at the theater or at home.
