Delightful California beach film noir with Rooney doing his best James Dean as the loner mechanic that falls for the beautiful dame that ultimately leads him to crime. Dianne Foster does a wonderful femme fatale and has one of the best lines of the movie, “On a clear day you can see all the way to Catalina.”

How was this? Of everything playing this is the one I’d loved to have seen in the theater!

Super fun! Story is light but it’s nice to see an older Mickey Rooney mixing it up here. Cool to see on the big screen.
