Overview

Ro-Man, an alien robot who greatly resembles a gorilla in a diving helmet, is sent to earth to destroy all human life. Ro-Man falls in love with one of the last six remaining humans, and struggles to understand how his programming can instruct him to kill her while his heart demands that he can’t.

Hard to believe that I haven’t seen this until now. That alien with the gorilla suit and deep diving helmet I would see all the time in sci-fi / horror magazines when I was a kid. Figured I would’ve at least seen this by now with all the public domain dvd sets I have. It popped up on Amazon with that terrific poster art so I finally checked it it off. It’s quite silly even by 1950s science fiction standards but I give it a full star bump for committing to the premise and that ridiculous alien costume. And the great poster imagery.
