Viewing Notes

Now for Noirvember and pizza!

Nice to see Glenn Ford and Gloria Grahame teamed up again. She’s super here. Hearing both Michael Mann and Scorsese talking about this movie from two different perspectives is fascinating. Mann takes the approach of presenting how strong the women are up front in the film symbolizing where America was at the time while Scorsese is on about the pain and suffering endured from the war and how it bleeds throughout the film. Good stuff.
