Overview
Two Hong Kong cops are sent to Tokyo to catch an ex-cop who stole a large amount of money in diamonds. After one is captured by the Ninja-gang protecting the rogue cop, the other one gets his old Orphanage gang, dubbed the “Five Lucky Stars,” to help him. They don’t like this much, but they do it.

Viewing Notes
30 minutes of solid fighting & chase action separated by an hour of slapstick humor with the five fortunes including some questionable bits involving Sibelle Hu (just inappropriate behavior by the fortunes). Jackie Chan isn’t present for that midsection stuff but is quite fun in the bookends esp the opening chase thru the amusement park. It is really amusing that they start the car chase in Tokyo yet end up at a park that probably 2 hours from Tokyo city center.
I thought this had recently gotten a Blu release (via 88 or Eureka) but apparently not. Prime offers the dubbed version which is not very good compared to Shaw dubs. Still watchable tho slightly annoying. Worth it for the Sibelle/ Michiko fight which should’ve been longer.
