Viewing Notes

Rather convoluted plotting of a conspiracy to overthrow the government propped up by this wonderful ensemble cast, which makes it thoroughly watchable in addition to some exquisite set locations. Franco Nero is solid as the straight man confronting all these prominent folks to solve the mystery. Plus he gets into a close combat fight wearing only a jockstrap. So there’s that.

Worth noting that it’s nice to Sybil Danning in a non-hyper-sexualized role. And it’s always fun to see Christopher Lee and Eli Wallach chew scenery. I think back to the time when I met Sybil Danning and during her Q&A she talked about how Lee was the consummate professional on set but at that time she was referring to HOWLING II. Hahaha
