Overview
A small unit of U.S. soldiers, alone at the remote Combat Outpost Keating, located deep in the valley of three mountains in Afghanistan, battles to defend against an overwhelming force of Taliban fighters in a coordinated attack. The Battle of Kamdesh, as it was known, was the bloodiest American engagement of the Afghan War in 2009 and Bravo Troop 3-61 CAV became one of the most decorated units of the 19-year conflict.

Viewing Notes
Another one requested ages ago that finally arrived and was due back today after only a 1 week checkout window. True story based on the book written about the event by Jake Tapper, which was interesting only bc I know Tapper from being a CNN reporter during this awful administration.
Anyways, this is a solid “war is hell” film boosted by a great Caleb Landry Jones performance. Still amazed by how much Scott Eastwood looks like his father during his younger years. Wish he possessed the same level of onscreen charisma. (I like Scott but his roles always feel paper thin)
