Viewing Notes
I really, really like this and hope they make more features with this “elseworlds” storyline. Helps that it features four of my favorite (actor) people tho my heart squeezed a bit when I heard James Hong’s voice. What a treasure and crazy he’s still working at 92 years old but yeah. Was thinking about the time I met him and got a little misty eyed.
Not a big fan of all the fantastical stuff but I love this period and the overall look/feel. Also like how the score is used often quietly in the background utilizing the other speakers. The UHD* looked very nice and bright (surprised I was able to get the UHD from my library network).
This would be a fun one to double with ENTER THE DRAGON or triple and add BLACK BELT JONES or BLACK DYNAMITE.
*UHD has zero extras which was disappointing given the usual extra features of all of DC animated film releases.
