Viewing Notes

A Very long, overdue revisit (guessing I haven’t viewed this since the ‘90s). This is a better live action Dr Seuss movie than any of the actual live action Seuss films. Possibly a top five Depp performance (in my book); he is this character and probably helps that this was so early in his career… none of the usual “oh that’s Johnny Depp I’m watching” business. Plus Winona Ryder! Wow

Love the Universal Monster vibes and overall style. Also a fun Christmas movie. So wild that Anthony Michael Hall went from being the nerdy twerp to the big bully in only a few years.
