Viewing Notes

Kept the Torchy Blaine train rolling this afternoon with this 4th installment in the TB serial. Wanted to check this one out bc Warner Bros switched out the actor for the titular role with Lola Lane. Audiences were not happy about this and the movie tanked despite it being just as good as the previous three, storywise. I will agree that Lola is no Glenda she’s still perfectly capable but maybe not the right fit to cast a brunette as a character known for her blonde hair. Glenda would return for the next 3 films in the series.

This one is a decent caper aboard a cruise ship and Torchy is captured as she tries to catch the robbers.
