Viewing Notes

Stopped by Tonia & Ron’s home to catch the first movie in the season finale of The Last Drive-in, which I wanted to see bc I didn’t think I had seen it despite owning the DVD for years. Thought I might have seen it during a watch party bc the premise is familiar but it was actually the Korean remake A Monstrous Corpse (1981).

Really happy to finally watch this influential film and have Joe Bob’s commentary. Also cool that Grau was not only trying to capture what Romero did with NotLD but with his own voice and context being from Spain but having to shoot in England. The nihilism is not subtle here!
