Overview

Rachel Keller is a journalist investigating a videotape that may have killed four teenagers. There is an urban legend about this tape: the viewer will die seven days after watching it. Rachel tracks down the video… and watches it. Now she has just seven days to unravel the mystery of the Ring so she can save herself and her son.

Picked up a used dvd at the thrift store today. The disc looked like it was given to a baby to play with while it was eating. I cleaned it at the store but still had a few scratches; was told I could return it if it didn’t play. So I spun it up when I got home and watched the whole damn thing!

But now I learn from my previous log that I already own this movie on dvd. WTF

Ofc it’s not in my catalog bc I’m a goddamn dipshit for not adding all my movies. So I guess I’m gonna return it anyways! Doh!

The movie is p darn good and easily one the better if not the best Hollywood remake of a J-horror classic. I like that the writers took some liberties and also added some things to the story. It’s not just a note for note remake. Cool to revisit during spooky season and before J-Horror Virus is released.
