Minus one minus color! Looks gorgeous and really feels like the fitting and poignant tribute to the original 1954 film. Hopefully they release this version on BD. Would love to see it in proper Dolby Vision. Sakura Ando really stood out to me on this viewing after seeing her in MONSTER. She’s really good.

Watching this b&w version seemed more appropriate for the time period and really brought out the Miyazaki themes of how the war is viewed (or how he views the war). And it really does have a Miyazaki flavor to the story, using war machines to stop a threat created by the war.
