Absolutely baffling how the two Chinese films I decide to watch today both have horrendous subtitles in precisely the same way: displaying way before the dialogue. It was so bad during this movie I just turned them off bc it was distracting and making it worse.
Also another film not listed in IMDb. Baffling and annoying.
I was just happy to find another Tse Miu (Xie Miao) film on Tubi but I may have to stop viewing these if I can’t fully understand what is happening. For this movie Miao is a warrior in a coliseum tournament then quits to live a quiet life as a mute in a small village. That fighting world clashes with his new life and brings him back to compete in the arena. That’s the main gist of it but a lot more occurs including the deaths of his friends and whatnot. Would definitely watch this again if it had working subtitles.
