A unified team representing the two Koreas competed at the 1991 Chiba International Table Tennis Championships. It was the first such sport team since the division of the Korean peninsula. The unified team won the group competition event, beating the front runner, China.

Viewing Notes
Very by-the-numbers sports drama conflict overcoming a challenge movie… based on a true story. That said, this is well-executed and never boring. Every beat is expected and predictable but handled so well. The fantastic leads, Bae Doona and Ha Ji-won, elevate the material and give it punch. Really love this movie and its schmaltz.
