Viewing Notes
CITY OF GOD wasn’t at all what I expected, having never read the back cover; two kids on the beach isn’t exactly a cover image that tells of a brutal gang war in Rio de Janeiro. It’s a great, brutal film with some clever first person storytelling and cinematography; it reminds me quite a bit of BOYS IN THE HOOD.
