Viewing Notes

Second viewing of the movie made the story and plot problems a little more noticeable particularly near the end when the film drifts into straight haunted house territory. Unlike some I actually really enjoy the last 30 minutes of the movie, just in a different movie, not Insidious. The movie takes a drastic hard left near the hour mark and never quite reaches the bloodcurdling terror of the first hour but still manages to be enjoyable if a little flawed. The movie is still very well made despite a small budget of just over 1 million dollars. It’s the best thing the Saw crew has ever done and I’m definitely looking forward to what they make in the future.
