Viewing Notes

Yeesh, this is bad.  I was hoping for a somewhat decent biography of a baseball legend along the lines of The Pride of the Yankees.  But this was overly sappy.

I can understand biographical films taking some liberties, but some of the events depicted were beyond belief: a crippled boy miraculously standing up just because the Babe said hello to him.  C’mon.  I imagine it was meant to elicit tears from the audience, but not tears of laughter.
