Viewing Notes

One of the touchstones of South Korean cinema.  It’s pretty amazing.  It’s hard to believe it was released in 1960 with all the lurid incidents that occur in the film. And after all the madness and mayhem, that out-of-the-blue tacked on ending is unbelievable.

Bong Joon Ho credited this film as one of his inspirations for Parasite.
