Viewing Notes
A re-watch after many years and one of the great films about filmmaking. Having made 8mm and Super 8 movies in my youth, this documentary is so relatable. It’s very funny, but this time around, I also found it very sad. Apart from the actual filmmaking, the cold, depressing atmosphere of this community filled with alcoholism, drugs, broken marriages, etc., really comes through.
