The Plunderers (1960)

Directed by Joseph Pevney

Western | Drama

Overview

Four young toughs have ridden into Trail City and claimed it as easy pickings for their bullying and gunplay. The whole town will be overrun by lawlessness if decent folks like rancher and Civil War veteran Sam Christy don’t take a stand.

Viewing Notes

Sort of a western version of The Wild One, with four young toughs taking over a small town made up of mostly older citizens.  A pretty good little film.  I have to imagine the story is born out of the fear surrounding juvenile delinquency during the 50’s. A young John Saxon plays a Mexican with a thick accent.
