I like Lanthimos just because his films are unique, so different from other filmmakers. I like variety and his films usually provide a much-needed jolt in my movie watching routine. This one is more like his earlier work: absurd, disturbing, with dark humor.
I love Jesse Plemons. There’s always a level of weirdness, or something not-quite-right, about all the characters he plays.
