I haven’t seen this since it first came out, so I didn’t remember large parts of it. I forgot all about the Washington DC of the future and the decimated monuments, a la the Statue of Liberty in THE PLANET OF THE APES.
It’s a fun film. It won an Oscar for best visual effects and we’ve certainly come a long way since then.
