I really liked this. Soderbergh trying something new again.
It’s not your typical horror movie filled with jump scares, etc. This is very quiet and leisurely paced, the tension building slowly, although there are moments that raise the hairs on your neck, as a good ghost story should.
I guess it’s not much of a spoiler alert to know that the whole movie is from the viewpoint of the “presence” as it observes the day-to-day troubles of a dysfunctional family.
An 85-minute runtime also makes for a nice quick afternoon viewing.
