A very funny absurdist comedy. The film takes place in a world that’s a strange blend of Canada and Iran (the signage is Arabic, the Tim Horton’s is like a Persian tea house, etc.), and I think one of the themes of the film is this feeling of displacement. The humor is both deadpan and absurd: a tour guide whose tour includes a parking lot, a store that only sells Kleenex, etc.
