Overview
Juliet Forrest is convinced that the reported death of her father in a mountain car crash was no accident. Her father was a prominent cheese scientist working on a secret recipe. To prove it was murder, she enlists the services of private eye Rigby Reardon. He finds a slip of paper containing a list of people who are ‘The Friends and Enemies of Carlotta’.

Viewing Notes
A rewatch of a film I haven’t seen since it first came out. After all these years of watching film noir, it was fun to be able to identify all the old films being used.
Unfortunately, after the first half hour or so, it gets a bit stale, and a lot of the humor is kind of juvenile. Still, I can appreciate the technical aspects, especially the spot-on cinematography.
