Overview

Over-the-hill gumshoe in Los Angeles seeks to avenge the killing of an old pal, another detective who was involved in a case concerning a murdered broad, stolen stamps, a nickel-plated handgun, a cheating dolly, and a kidnapped pussycat.

Viewing Notes

A Raymond Chandler-like mystery with two very different personalities thrown together.  Art Carney is terrific, and Lily Tomlin is also good, but her character can get pretty annoying at times.  It has the feel of a light comedy, but gets fairly violent at times.
