Based on real events in the 1980s, this is a good police procedural on a topic that is still disturbingly relevant today. It’s mostly quiet and deliberately paced, which gives the few action sequences a real punch.
Jude Law isn’t a pretty boy actor in this film; his character looks tired and grizzled and slightly overweight. He does a good job.
