One of the better “spaghetti” westerns I’ve seen.
I would have never pictured Jean-Louis Trintinant as a western gunslinger. Klaus Kinski as a murderous villain? Of course.
Very bloody and violent with one of the bleakest endings ever. Richard Zanuck, head of 20th Century Fox, despised the film and its ending so much, he refused to release it in the United States. It wasn’t seen in the U.S. until a dvd release in 2001.
