Viewing Notes

I haven’t seen this in a long, long time. It’s still good, but it doesn’t hold up as well as other films from the 1980’s, mostly because of the worn-out corrupt cops story line and inevitable shootout at the end.

I think it works best as a look into the Amish culture, and the relationship between Ford and McGillis, who are both really good.

Fun fact: Viggo Mortensen’s film debut.
