Viewing Notes

A good film, part of the British working class “kitchen sink” dramas of the 1960’s. It does a great job showing the grimy and industrialized Manchester. Bold depictions (for its time) of an interracial pregnancy and a sympathetic gay man.

Note: Peter Yates was assistant director.
