Viewing Notes

Great film. Growing up in the Bay Area during this era, I think the film does an amazing job capturing that time and place.

It’s partly a police procedural, but unusual in the way it builds up your anticipation of capturing the Zodiac killer, only to deflate your hopes time and again (the Zodiac killer has never been identified or caught).

I love the references to BULLITT and the scene where they sort of poke fun at DIRTY HARRY with Ruffalo saying, “Sure, it’s easy when there’s no due process.”
