Based on John Ford’s THE INFORMER, updated to the days after MLK’s assassination. One of the first films to truly voice the views of black people during this period, and not have it filtered through the perspective of white America (kind of amazing that a major studio backed this). There are parts that are clunky, but overall, it’s well made with nice cinematography.
