Based on a true story, and judging by the news clips that run during the closing credits, it appears to be very faithful to actual events.
This is a movie that totally depends on the charisma of its star, and Channing Tatum is mostly up to the challenge. There are moments where I think he tries too hard to be cute and likable. Kirsten Dunst is really good, and the supporting cast is uniformly excellent.
