Viewing Notes

This film scared the bejeezus out of me when I was a kid (that farmer with his eyes gouged out!). Lots of great suspense, and more of a horror film than what we normally get from Hitchcock.

It’s kind of a strange film when you think about it. We have no idea why the birds are attacking; Hitch leaves it up to the audience (is it some kind of metaphor?).

Really cool to see child actor Veronica Cartwright.
