Viewing Notes

A way underseen gem of the 1970’s. Hackman and Pacino were still early in their careers and both coming off of major critical and popular hits. What a pleasure to watch them together in this small, unpretentious character study.

Vilmos Zsigmond, to me, is one of the cinematographers that define the “look” of ‘70’s cinema, and here, he gives this road movie a beautiful, naturalistic look.

Also pretty cool that some scenes were shot in Denver and Canon City.
